Mai 68

Paris in May 1968 was a war zone: students fighting pitched battles with the police, holding sit-ins in the Ecole des Beaux Arts and putting their lives on the line for political freedom both home and abroad. Their weapons were images anonymously created and printed in the art school and distributed as propaganda - vicious, desperate, polemic and crudely beautiful these images represent the impact zone where violence and creativity collide. Street art, basically.
