Liqen has got the summer mural season off to a flying start with these two fantastic outdoor pieces painted at the opposite ends of the world. Starting in Esmereldas, Ecuador, Liqen wowed locals young and old with his interpretation of the local avocado bird, and a monkey who seems to have joined a militia. Only last week in Chichester, England, Liqen painted this magnificent mural titled Flight of Enigma.
Liqen's awe-inspiring Miami mural Wall Street Labyrinth is available now as a screen print edition, and the incredible illustrator graces The Outsiders Newcastle with his debut UK solo exhibition later this summer.

Earlier this spring LA sloganeer Morley was invited to the Central American republic of Nicaragua by culture-based charity the Volverá Project. Overcoming trepidation spawned by watching Oliver Stone's 1986 shocker Salvador too many times, Morley found the country extremely welcoming. Considering he was vandalising the place.
Translations of the titles of the pieces in the photos from left to right: The Cruelest Fate is that of Constant Certainty; There's Nothing More Boring Than A Person With A Perfect Life; You and I Are Comrades In Arms In The Battle of Hope; Forgive Someone.

During 2012 American subscription TV channel HBO produced a fly on the wall documentary about JR's ambitious Inside Out initiative. Having made its debut last month at New York's Tribeca Film Festival, it's on American TV from tonight.
Justifiably billed "the world's largest participatory art project", Inside Out saw the photographer-cum-street artist touring some of the world's least desirable neighbourhoods. He persuaded the residents to have their photo portraits taken and enlarged to enormous proportions, then pasted onto local buildings to considerable effect in JR's trademark style. The documentary charts the many emotional moments provoked by the endeavour.
Here are the screening times in America, the only ones announced so far:
On HBO proper: May 20th 8:00pm, May 21st 2:40am, May 23rd 2:15pm, May 25th 11:15am, May 29th 5:30pm and 12:15am, June 2nd 1:00pm and June 5th 5:10am. On HBO 2: May 22nd at 8:00pm and 4:55am, May 28th at 11:00am and June 21 at 8:00am. All times are Eastern Time (ET). The documentary is also available On Demand and on HBO Go.
If we find out it's on outside of the US, we'll let you know.

In east London no-one can you hear you scream. So an advance force of alien starships led by street artist Invader encountered minimal resistance touching down there earlier this week.
His beachead established, Invader put up a mural of your two favourite 70s sci-fi characters engaged in their eternal lightsabre duel. The galactic-level street artist's trademark arcade game-inspired aliens also impacted: but witness reports claim they were disappointed to find the local's brains seemingly already eaten. Invader himself stopped raining down hot hail from his orbiting mothership to take the photos.
