OAKOAK | LIVE FROM NEWCASTLE
Tuesday 29th of May 2012
French street art sensation OakOak hit Newcastle this week in anticipation of his first gallery project at the city's Outsiders space. OakOak's back-to-basics work is universally enjoyable, injecting laughter and colour into run-down elements of the city. Newcastle's combination of esoteric architecture and post-industrial decay makes the ideal canvas.
Eyes peeled for the unveiling of OakOak’s "house art" (as opposed to the outdoor "street art") at the private view of his 892 Miles exhibition later this week, plus more new street pieces from the grime-garnishing Gaul.
