Having emerged on the New York scene in the late 90s, Brooklyn-based collaborative duo FAILE have gathered a firm following over the years with their flypostered vision transforming many a street the world over. Creating original imagery from an array of pop culture, their practice amalgamates print techniques, painting, stenciling, collage, sculpture, and typography. Acknowledged as early pioneers in the contemporary street art movement with their instantly recognisable style, FAILE's work is inspired by Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Basquiat and the throwaway imagery of advertising, flyposting, comic books and TV. They are the nice guys of the graffiti world, and like all nice guys they always come out on top.
